It's a busy month of December at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots. Two big Saturdays of racing are on tap -- the 18th annual Louisiana Champions Day on Dec. 13, and Santa Super Saturday on Dec. 20. Make your plans now to be on hand.
Our new slots facility opened in November and is open daily until midnight. It includes three new food offerings -- the Grandstand Buffet on the second floor and the Gentilly Grill and DeSaix Deli adjacent to the slots floor.
For simulcast customers, dark-day and evening simulcasting at Fair Grounds has moved from the west to the east end of the grandstand. Use either the valet, Gentilly (slots) or east apron entrances to access the simulcast area.
Fair Grounds OTB customers: Take note of our holiday hours. We will close at 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve and open at 3 p.m. Christmas Day and 10 a.m. New Year's Day.
