Our company is very diverse with a lot of moving parts, so we understand that you might not be able to find the exact answer to your question. Please browse through our list of frequently asked questions which we compiled to help you enjoy your visit to our Slots facility, OTBs or race track.

  • Are Outside Food & Beverages Allowed?

    Outside food & beverages are never allowed on property. The only exception is birthday cakes. Please note, balloons are not allowed on property due to the risk of spooking horses.

  • Can Children Attend The Races?

    Yes, guests of all ages are welcome to attend live racing. Children are not permitted in the slots or OTB areas. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on property.

  • Can I Check My Slot Rewards Account Online?

    Coming soon! Be the first to know by providing your email address at the kiosk.

  • Do Clubhouse Tickets Come With A Table?

    Yes, Clubhouse Dining tickets come with a table; however, Clubhouse General Admission does not and seating is first come, first serve for the tables along the paddock window and stadium seats. It is highly recommended that you make an advanced table reservation in the Clubhouse if you intend to dine by purchasing Clubhouse Dining tickets on Ticketmaster.com.

  • Do You Have A Buffet?

    At this time we do not provide a daily buffet, with the exception of Thanksgiving & Louisiana Derby. Clubhouse guests can reserve a spot for these by calling (504) 948-1285.

  • Do You Have A Gift Shop?

    Our retail offering is located behind our Admissions Counter in the Valet Lobby and is open during live race days.

  • Do You Have A Menu I Can View Prior To Attending?

    Our menus vary depending on location and restaurant. Please visit our Restaurant guide at this link.

  • Do You Have Lunch Specials?

    Our lunch specials vary depending on the OTB location. Please call or stop by your nearest OTB to discover the menu of the day. You can find a list of our OTBs at this link. Our lunch specials change daily at the Slots Facility. Please call (504) 948-1360 to see what we’re serving up today!

  • Do You Host Weddings?

    Yes, we offer a unique backdrop to your big day! Please view our venue options here and call (504) 948-1285 or email [email protected] for a quote.

  • How Do I Get Added To Your Email List?

    For racing related emails, please email [email protected] and ask to be added to our list.

  • How Do I Receive More Offers And Free Play?

    Get connected! Visit the Cashier’s Cage at the Slots facility or your local OTB & Casino to register for our mail, text, and email rewards programs to start receiving more offers.

  • How Much Are Jazz Fest Tickets? How Do I Become A Vendor At Jazz Fest?

    We are the venue for Jazz Fest. For any inquiries pertaining to Jazz Fest, please contact them directly by visiting www.nojazzfest.com.

  • How Much Is Admission?

    General Admission is free daily, with the exception of Stakes Days, Specialty Programming, & Louisiana Derby Day ($10). Clubhouse Admission is $10 Wednesdays and Thursdays, $15 Fridays – Sundays, and $20 on Specialty Programming Days, Stakes Days, & Louisiana Derby Day. Children 12 & under are admitted free every day.

  • How Much Is Parking?

    Free, every day! We offer Valet Parking during race days for $10 or $20. Prices may change for specialty race dates.

  • How Old Do You Have To Be To Enter The OTB Area?

    You must be 21 years of age or older to enter any OTB, video poker, or slots area.

  • I Have/Know A Band Interested In Performing, Who Do I Contact?

  • Is The Facility ADA Compliant?

    All of our facilities are ADA compliant. If you have questions about ADA accommodations for boxes or dining tables, please call 504-948-1285.

  • What Are The Hours Of The Bookkeeper And LSRC?

    During the racing season, hours are race days from 9am-5pm. You can find our race days by viewing our event calendar.

  • What Are Your Hours?

    Our Slots facility is open Monday-Friday from 9am-Midnight, Sunday 10am-Midnight. Our OTB hours vary per location; you can view our OTB locations here. Our Racing Office is open 8am through the last race. Our Grandstands and Clubhouse open one hour prior to the first race and close after the conclusion of the last race.

  • What Days Do You Race?

    We typically race November through March, Thursday through Sunday, with a first post at 12:45pm. Exceptions during holidays and major race days. Please view our event calendar to see the exact dates.

  • What Is The Dress Code?

    For our Clubhouse dining room we ask that men wear collared shirts. No shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops, or sweatsuits allowed.

  • When Are Betting Guides & Programs Delivered?

    Betting Guides & Programs are usually delivered the day prior to a race day. Depending on location, they will be delivered in the morning or afternoon.

  • When Is Exotic Racing?

    Exotic Racing featuring ostriches, camels and zebras typically takes place during our Thoroughbred Horse Meet in January. Please view our event calendar for the specific date, which is usually announced at the start of fall.

  • When Is Wiener Dog Racing?

    Wiener Dog Racing takes place March 8, 2025. Applications are available the first week of January.

  • Where Can I Find Out Who Won A Race?

    You can view past performances on our website by clicking here and choosing the day and race.

  • Where Is Fair Grounds?

    Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots is located in the Mid-City area of New Orleans, approximately 10 minutes from Central Business District and French Quarter, approximately 20 minutes from New Orleans International Airport and less than five minutes from Interstate 6-10, which connects with Interstate 10 East and West.
